Evie J. Hunt is a multiple award winner with United Country Real Estate and has received the 2008 Southwest Virginia Sales Achievement Award, 2008 United Country Outstanding Listing Power Award, 2008 , 2013, 2016 & 2017 United Country Pinnacle Bronze award, and the 2010, 2012, 2014 & 2015 United Country Pinnacle Club award. Evie has served as President of the Southwest Virginia Association of Realtors ® and also recently served on the VR State YPN Committee. Evie has been selected to the Virginia Realtors Honor Society in both 2014, 2015 & 2016 and was selected as 2016 SWVAR Realtor of the Year & 2016 Community Service Award Winner. Evie specializes in all types of residential real estate, waterfront properties, and various types of land.

I have lived in the Abingdon, Virginia area for 16 years; however, I have been a property owner here for 36 years! I spent many joyous summers here as a teenager while visiting with my cousins at their cabin on South Holston Lake! I fell in love with this area then and I continue to find new things to love about living here! I was born and raised in the coalfield area of Southeast Kentucky in a little town called "Phelps". It was there that I learned to love "country living" and to fully experience the beauty of our diverse topography.
While in Kentucky, I worked in the banking industry for 17 years, was co-owner/operator of my own business for 3 years, and spent my last 2 years working with the Kentucky Cabinet for Families & Children. After moving to Abingdon in 2002, I spent another 5 years in banking where I became more knowledgeable in lending practices, including mortgage lending. For the past six years, I have been privileged to serve on the Board of Directors of the Southwest Virginia Association of Realtors and for 6 years served as SWVAR President in 2017.
When I decided to become a Realtor, I finally found the career that most fulfilled me personally! It has always been my belief that "it is easy to sell to others something I would buy for myself"! So, loving this area as I do, it felt appropriate that I would enjoy sharing my love and knowledge of the area with others who may be interested in relocating to SW Virginia or NE Tennessee! Should you choose to sell or buy country homes, residential homes, farms, homes with acreage, land for sale, historic homes, lakefront homes, log cabins, mountain homes, multi-family and commercial properties or recreational properties in our area, I sincerely hope you will allow me to assist you in the process!
